Gluten free banana cupcake - Sfoglia Cafe Patisserie - Dickson - Canberra
This is Kath/Dread enjoying her birthday cupcake. We went halves on this. It was ok, a little dry. Though Kath said gluten free is always hard to get moist. So dry as side it wasn’t bad. It’s made me want to attempt something gluten free. I bet I can make it moist.

My friend Pete had the Cherry Ripe cake and I had the White chocolate mud cake. To me both were way too sweet and way too heavy. An odd thing for me to say but thats how it was. I couldn’t finish mine.

Chocolate Molten Pudding - L’unico Restaurant - kingston Canberra
This was pretty amazing. I’ve actually had flash backs to eating this. It was super rich and chocolatie. I needed to have a coffee to wash it down with. I will be sure to order this again. It’s not often I say things like that about cake in my city.

Macadamia pie (of sorts) - Dobinsons bakery - Canberra city
Umm.. Well this is one of those bulk made ‘I know what I’m going to get’ kinds of sweets. So it served its purpose and gave me a sugar high. Nothing more to say there really.

Vegan Pumpkin pie - Home made by me
This is a rather old photo now. A colleague at work had an abundance of pumpkins and decided to leave one at my desk for me. I was so happy I promised him I’d make a pie out of it as I had never made a Pumpkin pie and had always wanted to give it a try.
So this was it. It was DELICIOUS! So delicious that my house mate and I ate it all the night it was baked. I never got to share it with my colleague. He still hears stories of how amazing that pie was.
I should really try to make one again.

Chocolate brownie - Home made by Pete Butz.
Pete knocked on my front door and presented me with this and another slice of cake, in a attempt to make me not angry at him (we’d had a little miss communication). Though my first thought was “Where is the rest of the cake?” “This is just a slice, there was surly a whole cake surrounding this slice”
I might have forgiven you faster Pete if you had brought all of the cake!
Anyway, when I finally had a chance to try this slice I realised it deserved the time for me to enjoy it with a cup-a. So only ate half as I was in a rush.
I am now eating the other half while writing this post. I’m not sure how to put into words how amazing this slice is. I think this just might be the best brownie I have EVER had! Its thick and heavy with chocolate, yet still slightly crunchy and crumbly. Mmmmmm…

Good Dog hot dogs - Food truck, Houston TX
Guac-a-dog - it was amazing!! My favourite of all 3 I tried during my stay in Houston. It had tomato, avocado, coriander, ketchup, and of course the sausage that was made specially for the food truck. There was something else but I cant pick it, I guess it was just a hand full of amazing :p

I’m pretty sore I posted another one of these last year but this is my most favourite doughnut from Gourdough’s I had one get one this time round. Again it hit my new found sweet threshold but I still loved every moment of it.

Heavenly Hash - Gourdoughs Doughnuts Austin TX
This is my most favourite place in Austin, I’ve been craving these doughnuts for almost 2 years since i was last in Austin.
This was a freshly made doughnut covered with marshmallows and chocolate sauce.
So good it made me sick. I actually discovered I now have a sweets threshold. I guess its from old age and exercise.
